I understand your concern. I'm not a financial advisor, but as a long-time Costco shopper, I think their fundamentals are still strong. Membership renewals are high, and they still offer great value. It's possible the stock is just correcting after a period of high growth. Maybe consider diversifying your retirement if possible, but I wouldn't panic sell.
Costco's success is *because* their customers don't 'get' market trends. They get cheap rotisserie chicken. That said, being heavy on one company's stock is always risky. Twelve years is a long time to have all your eggs in one basket. I'd consult a financial planner to explore diversifying your holdings. Better safe than sorry, especially when your retirement is on the line.
