Costco's Future: Are we seeing any signs of a slowdown or expansion?

Hey everyone, been with Costco for a few years now, and things generally feel pretty stable. But with the way the economy is, I've been wondering if anyone else is noticing any behind-the-scenes shifts. Haven't heard any official news or whispers of layoffs, which is a good sign, but just curious about the general vibe. Are departments seeing budget cuts, are hiring freezes happening in certain areas, or conversely, are there major expansion plans on the horizon? Sometimes it's the small things you notice day-to-day that might indicate larger trends. Anyone else picking up on anything, positive or negative?

I've been a loyal Costco shopper for ages, and honestly, I haven't noticed any slowdown. If anything, the parking lot seems busier than ever, and they're always stocking new and interesting items. The food court lines are still insane during peak hours, which usually signals strong business to me. I haven't heard any rumors about hiring freezes or budget cuts, and they just opened a new warehouse not too far from me, so it feels like expansion is still very much on the table. Maybe the economic shifts aren't hitting them as hard as other retailers.

From my perspective, Costco seems pretty resilient. They always have a solid selection of bulk goods that people rely on, especially when prices are unpredictable elsewhere. I haven't observed any empty shelves or fewer staff members, which would be my first indicator of trouble. In fact, I saw them advertising for several positions just last week, including some in management. It makes me think they're either maintaining their current staffing levels or actively growing in anticipation of future demand, rather than pulling back.
