Is anyone else feeling burnt out with the new 'flexibility' in roles?

So, lately, it feels like they're constantly shuffling us around. One day I'm stocking, the next I'm on the front end, then suddenly I'm pulled to help in receiving. I get that cross-training is good, but it feels like we're being stretched way too thin. The 'flexibility' they keep talking about feels more like 'do more with less'. It's making it hard to get really good at any one thing, and honestly, it's exhausting. Plus, the communication about these shifts is often last minute. No major layoff rumors I've heard directly, but this constant re-jiggering is making me wonder if they're trying to see who can handle multiple roles before... well, you know. Anyone else in a similar boat or have any thoughts on what this constant shuffling might mean? Just feeling pretty fried lately and wondering if others feel the same.

Totally feel you on this. That constant flux is rough. It's hard to build momentum or even feel competent when you're always being moved. The 'flexibility' buzzword really does feel like a cover for understaffing and expecting everyone to be a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none. Hopefully, management will see how unsustainable it is before morale completely tanks.
