Sorry to hear about the layoff! 2 months for 5 years seems a little on the low side, though the vacation payout and benefits extension are good. Washington state is generally employee-friendly, so it might be worth consulting with an employment lawyer to see if you have any grounds to negotiate for a better package. They can advise you on what's reasonable and if there were any questionable circumstances around the layoff itself. Good luck!
That sounds pretty standard, honestly. Lots of companies offer about 2 weeks per year of service. The career placement service is a nice bonus, take advantage of that! Focus your energy on the job search and use those resources. Dwelling on the severance won't help you in the long run. File for unemployment ASAP and start networking. Costco is a great company, so having them on your resume will definitely help you in your job search.
