Worried about relocation offers lately - red flag?

Has anyone else noticed more relocation offers being floated around lately? I'm in IT at HQ, been here 8 years, and a couple of people in my department have been offered relocation packages to other warehouses in different states. It seems...odd. Like they're trying to subtly shrink the team without doing outright layoffs. Anyone else seeing this in their departments? Should I be polishing up my resume? I really don't want to move, but I also don't want to be jobless. The pay is pretty good here, so I'm torn. Maybe I'm just being paranoid.

I've heard whispers about this too, though not specifically relocation packages. More like... 'opportunities' in other departments, which is unusual for our company culture. It definitely makes me think there might be some restructuring going on behind the scenes. I'd definitely start looking at other options, just in case. It's better to be prepared than caught off guard. Good luck!

Relocation offers aren't always a bad sign! It could just be genuine opportunities for growth. Before jumping to conclusions, try discreetly talking to those who received the offers. Ask them about the roles, locations, and their understanding of the situation. Maybe they're excited about the move, and it truly is a positive development. Doing some quiet digging might ease your mind or confirm your suspicions. Knowledge is power!
