Definitely feeling a shift. It's not panic stations, but you can tell things are being scrutinized more closely. Budgets feel tighter, and there's a lot more 'need to know' before anything gets greenlit. Been seeing a few less contractors around too, which is a subtle indicator. Hoping it's just a standard cyclical thing and not a sign of bigger issues down the line.
I've been with Coterra for a while now and this feels... different. Not the usual 'trim the fat' kind of adjustment. More like a strategic pause on growth initiatives. Some key personnel have been moved around, and new hires seem to be heavily dependent on specific, critical roles only. It's creating a bit of uncertainty, and honestly, it's hard to get a clear picture from management's public statements.
