Quiet changes in procurement and ops—anyone else notice?

Is anyone else feeling the tension in the regional offices right now? It feels like we’re in a strange holding pattern. I’ve noticed a lot of 'under review' status updates on internal projects that were previously fast-tracked, and the travel budget has been slashed to nothing in my division. There’s no official word on headcount, but the atmosphere is definitely shifting. It feels like they are tightening the belt for a rough Q4. I’ve been through a few cycles here before and this usually precedes a 'voluntary' program or a quiet purge. Just curious if it’s just my department or if the silence is widespread across the group. Is anyone seeing headcount freezes in their specific business units?

Same thing happening over here. My team had three major project approvals pulled last week with zero explanation from management. The travel freeze is one thing, but the absolute radio silence from leadership is what really has everyone on edge. It’s definitely not business as usual, and it feels like they’re waiting for the other shoe to drop before they announce any formal restructuring. Just keep your head down and start backing up your personal files.
