Thoughts on recent deal cycles and pipeline?

Hey everyone, posting anonymously because, well, you know. I'm in a customer-facing role at CrowdStrike and the last couple of quarters have felt like pulling teeth. Deals are taking longer, budgets seem tighter, and getting those big enterprise wins feels harder than it used to. We're still winning, don't get me wrong, but the effort-to-reward ratio feels off. Is this just the general market cooling down affecting us, or are there specific competitive pressures or product gaps that are becoming more apparent? I'm wondering if we're starting to see the effects of over-hiring in some areas or if the sales model itself is facing new challenges. Looking for any insights from other AEs, SEs, or even managers who might have a clearer picture of the pipeline health and what's driving the current pace. Is anyone else seeing this trend and how are you adapting?

Yeah, I'm feeling it too. The lengthening sales cycles are definitely noticeable. It feels like every stakeholder needs to sign off, and even then, procurement is slower. We're having to work much harder on demonstrating clear ROI and often leaning into existing relationships to push deals through. It's not just us; many enterprise software renewals are getting scrutinized more heavily this year, so it's likely a broader market trend impacting everyone's pipeline visibility and velocity.
