Anyone else feeling the anxiety at CC right now?

Been with Crown Castle for about 4 years now, mostly on the network operations side. Lately, there's just been this low hum of uncertainty in the air. You can feel it in team meetings, the way people talk (or don't talk) about the future. We haven't had any official announcements, but the whispers about budget cuts and 'realignments' are getting louder. My manager is being cagey, which is definitely not helping. It feels like the calm before a storm, and I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Anyone else in a similar boat, maybe in different departments? Trying to figure out if this is a company-wide vibe or if I'm just hyper-aware because of my team's specific projects.

Yeah, I'm feeling it too. Been here about the same amount of time, different department though. It's that vague dread that's the worst. You're constantly second-guessing every little change, every new directive. My team lead's been hinting at efficiency drives for months, which is corporate speak for 'someone's head is on the chopping block.' Trying to stay positive, but it's hard when the ground feels so shaky.

Honestly, I'm not surprised. The whole telecom infrastructure sector has been a bit volatile. My advice? Start updating that resume, just in case. It's always better to be prepared. I know people who saw this coming at other tower companies and managed to jump ship before the major layoffs. Don't wait until it's an official announcement; by then, it's usually too late to get a good position.
