Anyone else seen the internal memo regarding the April departures?

Just saw the official notification hit the wires regarding the 50 roles being cut come April 25th. Honestly, the mood in the office today is just dead. It’s not even anger anymore, just complete resignation. We’ve been hearing about 'streamlining' for months, but when you see the WARN notice posted publicly, it hits different. I’ve been with CC for a while now and I’m just trying to figure out if there’s any point in sticking around to see who’s next or if I should just update the resume and jump ship before the next quarterly review. Management keeps talking about 'operational efficiency' and 'realigning resources,' but the workload isn't getting any lighter for those of us left behind. It’s hard to focus on cell tower leasing or site development when you're wondering if your team is going to be part of the next reduction. For those of you who have already been through a round of layoffs here, did the dust ever actually settle, or is this just the new standard operating procedure now? I'm debating whether to start a serious job search this weekend. Any advice from those who got out recently?

I am so sorry to hear you are dealing with this. It feels like the company has been shifting under our feet for a while now, but seeing it officially confirmed on the WARN notice makes it feel so much more permanent. I know it’s hard to focus when the atmosphere is this heavy, but honestly, take this as your sign to start looking elsewhere. There is no loyalty left in this industry, and it is better to leave on your own terms while you still have the headspace to polish your resume.

Same boat here. The constant talk of streamlining was clearly just a slow-roll for the inevitable layoffs. It sucks watching talented people get pushed out after years of putting in the work. I have already started reaching out to contacts at a few competitors because this whole 'new direction' is clearly just a race to the bottom. Don't waste your energy waiting for the next shoe to drop; start your search today and get out before things get even worse.
