It is honestly exhausting to watch. Every few months there is another announcement, and the internal messaging about 'operational efficiency' is just a cold way to describe gutting the workforce. The loss of institutional knowledge is going to haunt this company for years because the people who actually know how to run the systems are the ones leaving. It feels like they are sacrificing long-term stability for short-term numbers, and those of us remaining are just left to pick up the pieces of a hollowed-out department.
I am right there with you. That daily anxiety of checking your email before logging in has become the standard culture here. It is impossible to stay focused on projects when you are constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. At some point, leadership needs to realize that you cannot just keep cutting headcount and expect the same level of output. It is not streamlining anymore; it is just survival mode, and it is pretty clear that nobody is safe regardless of their tenure or performance.
