Danaher LSI - What's up with hiring freezes?

Is anyone else's department in Danaher LSI experiencing a hiring freeze? We were supposed to bring on a couple of new engineers this quarter, and it's been radio silence for weeks. My manager is being cagey, just saying 'budget review' and 'strategic realignment'. It feels like more than just that. Combined with the comp stagnation people are talking about, it makes you wonder what the long-term plan is for growth in certain areas. It's unnerving when you're trying to build out a team or even just secure headcount for critical projects. Anyone have intel on what's driving this across LSI?

Yeah, hearing similar whispers across LSI. It's definitely more than just budget reviews; seems like a broader strategic shift is underway. The lack of transparency is the worst part. When you're expecting new hires and suddenly it's all 'realignments,' it creates a lot of uncertainty for existing employees trying to plan projects and workloads. I've seen this kind of thing before at Danaher. Often it's followed by some kind of internal shuffling or divestiture. The 'strategic realignment' excuse is pretty standard when they're tightening belts or repositioning assets. Don't be surprised if some departments see resources shifted around, or even a few people moved internally if possible. Keep your ears to the ground.
