Just saw the official notification filed for the Lima/Allen facility. Looks like 295 heads are on the chopping block effective June 30th. Honestly, I'm not surprised given the whispers over the last couple of quarters, but seeing the actual number is a gut punch. Does anyone have insight into which departments are bearing the brunt of this? I’ve been hearing mixed things about whether this is strictly manufacturing or if the support roles are getting gutted too. Hang in there everyone, it’s a rough time to be in the industry.

I’m sorry to hear this, that’s a massive blow to the community. At these large companies, it’s rarely just one department—usually, they trim manufacturing to hit headcount targets, but support roles like supply chain, HR, and quality engineering get hit shortly after to 'streamline' the remaining operation. If you’re caught up in this, prioritize getting your severance paperwork reviewed and your documentation in order before you lose system access. Take care of yourself.

Classic corporate move. Danaher is ruthless when it comes to lean restructuring and hitting those quarterly margin goals. Once the WARN notice drops, the culture usually tanks instantly, and the remaining staff is just expected to pick up the slack without extra pay. If you have any tenure at all, start looking at competitors immediately; your skillset is likely transferable elsewhere. Don't wait for management to give you false hope about 'restructuring phases.' Get your resume out today.
