Just saw the WARN notice for the St. Clair site. 204 people impacted as of mid-January. Anyone on the ground there able to confirm if this was a total facility shutdown or just a massive reduction in force for Life Sciences? It’s getting real quiet on the internal boards. I feel for everyone affected—DHR has been doing these rolling cuts for a while now, but seeing the actual headcount is always a gut punch. Are they moving the production to a lower-cost site or is this just pure headcount reduction to satisfy the quarterly earnings targets? Would love to know if people were given any decent severance or if it was the standard 'pack your desk and go' exit. Wishing the best to everyone impacted.

I was there until yesterday and can confirm it’s a total shutdown, not just a standard reduction. Leadership was extremely tight-lipped about the timeline, but word around the floor is that operations are being offshored to maximize margin. They tried to frame it as a strategic consolidation in the final all-hands, but we all know it’s just another move to hit those quarterly earnings targets at the expense of loyal staff. The severance package is bare minimum, and the lack of transparency is standard procedure for this management team. Good luck to everyone scrambling to find new roles.

It is honestly exhausting watching this cycle repeat itself across different business units. I have seen the same script play out at two other sites over the last three years—they start with a hiring freeze, then 'voluntary' buyouts, then the mass WARN notices follow shortly after. It is never about performance or talent; it is purely about financial engineering and stock price optics. Do not wait for internal comms to give you the truth because they are just going to keep pushing the 'strategic realignment' narrative until the day the doors lock for good.
