Darden Restaurants - Anyone else seeing hours get slashed?

Hey everyone, been working at a Darden brand (won't say which one, you know how it is) for a while now, and lately things feel really tight. My manager has been talking a lot about 'optimizing labor costs' and 'seasonal adjustments,' but it feels more like a full-on reduction. My scheduled hours have been cut back significantly for the past month, and it's not just me. I've talked to a few other servers and kitchen staff, and they're all in the same boat. We're expected to do the same amount of work with fewer people and less time, which is making it really hard to hit our numbers and, frankly, making the job way more stressful. Are other locations experiencing this? Is this a company-wide thing or just our specific market being squeezed? Just trying to get a sense of what's going on before I start looking elsewhere.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed something similar at my location. It's frustrating because the customer traffic doesn't seem to have dropped off that much, but our schedules are getting leaner and leaner. It makes it hard to plan and honestly, it's putting a lot of stress on the team trying to cover everything with fewer people. Hoping it's a temporary thing but it's been going on for a bit now.

That's rough to hear, but not entirely surprising. Management always talks about efficiency, but sometimes it feels like they're pushing it too far and it impacts the frontline staff directly. I've seen that kind of 'optimization' before and it usually means more work for less pay and fewer hours. Hang in there, hopefully things pick up soon.
