Darden Restaurants - Rumblings in the Kitchen?

Hey everyone, been at Darden for a few years now, and lately, things have felt… off. It's not just my location, I've been chatting with people from other Darden brands, and the vibe seems to be the same. There's a general sense of unease, like management is doing something behind closed doors. We're hearing whispers about restructuring and efficiency drives, which is always a bit concerning when you're on the ground. Anyone else picking up on this? It’s hard to pinpoint anything concrete, which makes it worse. Just a general feeling that maybe things are about to shift, and not necessarily for the better. Are there any internal communications that hint at this that I might have missed? Or is this just the usual cycle? Trying to gauge if I should start polishing the resume or if this is just noise.

I've been in the industry for a while and hear those kinds of whispers all the time. Restructuring and efficiency drives usually mean one of two things: either they're trying to cut costs by trimming staff or streamlining operations, or they're gearing up for expansion and want to optimize processes. The key is how it's communicated and managed. If leadership is transparent and focuses on supporting the teams through the changes, it can often lead to positive outcomes. Hopefully, that's the direction they're heading.
