Did anyone else see the WARN notice for the Deer Park facility? They officially filed for the 40 people cut back in early February. I’m hearing the office is pretty tense right now, and people are wondering if this is a one-off for that specific location or if the company is going to start thinning out the headcount across other non-manufacturing sites too. The communication has been radio silence as usual. If you work at any of the smaller satellite offices, have you heard anything about potential 'restructuring' or further consolidation? I’ve been holding my breath since the announcement dropped, and honestly, the uncertainty is worse than the actual layoff. We’re all just waiting for the next shoe to drop while management acts like everything is business as usual.

The radio silence is exactly what makes the atmosphere so toxic right now. It is frustrating that leadership expects everyone to just keep their heads down and hit targets while the rumor mill spins out of control. If Deer Park is just the start of a broader push to reduce non-manufacturing headcount, they need to be transparent about it. Keeping employees in the dark only guarantees that the best talent will start polishing their resumes and jumping ship before they get caught in the next round of cuts.

Honestly, don't hold your breath waiting for an internal memo. Deere has been tightening the belt for a while now, and these satellite offices are usually the first ones targeted when management decides to shift priorities. It’s a classic move to trim the administrative fat while trying to keep the production lines humming. If you are in one of those smaller offices, I would definitely suggest looking into your transfer options or testing the external job market sooner rather than later. It never hurts to have a backup plan.
