Anyone else getting weird vibes from leadership lately?

Is it just me, or has the transparency from the top really dropped off this quarter? We keep hearing about the G7 dominance and the market share growth, but the internal messaging feels increasingly filtered. I’ve noticed a lot of 'strategic pivots' being thrown around in town halls without any real substance on how that impacts headcount. I've been here for four years and usually, when the leadership starts leaning this hard into corporate speak while simultaneously freezing non-essential travel and contractor approvals, it’s a precursor to something else. Is anyone else seeing managers tighten the screws on performance metrics out of nowhere? It feels like we’re being pushed to do more with less before a major announcement. I’m trying to figure out if I’m just being paranoid or if the writing is on the wall for some type of restructuring by Q4.

I've definitely noticed the shift as well. It feels like every town hall is just a polished script designed to keep the stock price up while avoiding the real questions about our internal stability. The corporate jargon is masking a lot of anxiety, and the lack of clarity regarding headcount is making it impossible to plan for the next six months. It’s a stark contrast to how things were even a year ago, and honestly, it’s driving a lot of good people to look elsewhere before the other shoe drops.

You aren't imagining things. It’s pretty standard practice when the pressure to maintain G7 growth numbers outweighs the actual health of the company culture. They’re pivoting toward whatever keeps the street happy, which unfortunately means we get vague updates and travel freezes instead of concrete answers. Everyone is reading between the lines of these 'strategic' statements, and it’s pretty clear that when the focus shifts exclusively to market share, the employees are usually the ones left holding the bag. Keep your resume polished.
