Dexcom - Beyond the hype, what's the reality for employees?

So, Dexcom's always been the darling of the CGM world, right? G7 launch was huge, tons of press. But I'm wondering what that actually means for the day-to-day. Is the growth translating into sustainable roles, or are we seeing the usual pressures that come with rapid expansion – like increased workload, shifting priorities, maybe even some 'right-sizing' down the line? Just trying to get a pulse on the ground truth beyond the investor calls and marketing. Anyone willing to share their unfiltered experience?

I've been with Dexcom for a few years now, and the growth has definitely been a whirlwind. The G7 launch certainly created a buzz, and yes, the workload has increased, particularly in areas supporting new product rollouts and market expansion. However, I've also seen significant investment in training and development, and there are certainly opportunities if you're willing to put in the effort. 'Right-sizing' hasn't been a major concern for my team, but priorities can shift quickly as new initiatives take hold. It's a fast-paced environment, for sure.

From my perspective, the 'hype' around Dexcom's growth is largely justified by the product's impact. For employees, it translates into a dynamic workplace where adaptability is key. While increased responsibilities are part of rapid expansion, I haven't personally experienced unreasonable pressure or concerns about job security. There's a strong sense of purpose driven by the company's mission. It's not always smooth sailing, but the overall trajectory feels positive and there's a genuine commitment to innovation that filters down.
