Dexcom G7: What's the real impact on the ground?

Hey everyone, been seeing a lot of chatter about the G7 launch and how it's playing out. I'm in a role where I'm seeing some of the downstream effects, and honestly, it feels a bit...mixed? On one hand, the tech is definitely an improvement, and we're hearing positive feedback from users who've made the switch. But on the other, the rollout hasn't been perfectly smooth, and I'm wondering if this is creating any internal pressure. Are sales teams feeling the heat? Is R&D already deep into the next big thing or are they still refining G7? Curious to hear from anyone directly involved or seeing the impacts – sales, marketing, engineering, even operations. How's G7 truly landing, and what does it mean for our pipeline and overall company direction? Trying to get a clearer picture beyond the official comms.

Interesting perspective. I've heard similar things about the G7's performance improvements being well-received by those who have managed to get it. The smoother sensor insertion and longer wear time are definitely big selling points. However, the supply chain and initial availability issues seem to be a consistent hurdle, which can't be easy for the sales force. It'll be fascinating to see how quickly these logistical kinks get ironed out and if that impacts user adoption rates significantly moving forward.
