Is the G7 ramp-up actually slowing down?

I’ve been hearing a lot of chatter lately about our manufacturing output targets being adjusted for Q4. Management keeps pushing the 'record growth' narrative in the town halls, but the internal vibes feel different. My manager has been extremely tight-lipped about headcount planning for next year, which is a major departure from how we usually operate. Usually, we’re hiring like crazy to keep up with the scale, but I’ve noticed several open reqs in my department have been pulled or frozen over the last two weeks. Is anyone else noticing this in their respective business units, or am I just reading into the normal seasonal slowdown? It feels like we are pivoting to 'efficiency' mode, which we all know is just code for something else. Would love to hear if others are seeing the same hiring freezes or if your leads are acting strange during 1:1s.

The hiring freeze is definitely the quiet part being said out loud. When the open reqs start disappearing, it usually means the targets aren't being met or they're bracing for a soft quarter. Don't buy the town hall hype; the leadership team has to maintain the share price narrative, but the lack of headcount planning for next year is a massive red flag. Watch your back and keep your resume updated just in case.

Honestly, it feels like the pivot to the G7 is hitting more manufacturing bottlenecks than they want to admit. I’ve seen the same thing in my department regarding frozen reqs. It’s a total shift from the usual 'growth at all costs' mentality we’ve had for years. Everyone is just waiting for the other shoe to drop at this point, especially with the silence coming from upper management about the Q4 outlook.
