The vibe shift at HQ is real

I’ve been at Dexcom for over four years, and I’ve never seen the office this quiet. The energy used to be electric, but lately, it feels like everyone is walking on eggshells. We just had another leadership shakeup, and nobody is explaining why. The transparency that we used to pride ourselves on has basically vanished, replaced by generic 'corporate speak' emails that say absolutely nothing of substance. I’m starting to see people update their LinkedIn profiles at a rate I haven't seen since the last big market correction. It’s hard not to feel like the other shoe is about to drop. Has anyone heard anything specific, or are we all just waiting for the axe to fall? I’m seriously considering looking for an exit strategy now instead of waiting to be blindsided. The uncertainty is worse than the actual news at this point.

I felt the exact same way during my last few months there. It’s wild how quickly the culture soured once the leadership started prioritizing optics over people. That feeling of walking on eggshells is exhausting and eventually makes you realize it's time to move on. Honestly, keep updating that LinkedIn profile; there are plenty of other places that actually value their employees and keep things transparent instead of hiding behind those robotic, empty corporate memos.

That sounds incredibly draining. I’ve heard similar things from others lately, especially regarding the lack of transparency. When management stops being clear about the direction of the company, it’s a major red flag for everyone on the ground. It’s sad to see a once-vibrant workspace turn into a ghost town of nervous employees, but you aren't imagining things. You have to look out for your own career growth, so if the internal environment is feeling stagnant and disconnected, it’s probably the right time to start looking elsewhere.
