Just got the email this morning. Was part of the 168 headcount reduction officially filed in the WARN notice for the Hunt Valley site. Honestly, the mood in the office has been subterranean for weeks, but it still stings when it’s your badge that stops working. I’m trying to figure out if anyone has seen the formal separation agreement details yet. HR is being tight-lipped and the packet hasn't landed in my inbox. For those of us who have been here for a few years, is the severance package tracking with previous cycles, or are they tightening the belt even further? I’ve got kids and a mortgage, so I’m just trying to map out my runway. If anyone has insight into how generous (or insulting) the exit package is, I’d appreciate a heads-up. Good luck to everyone still grinding through the week; hope the rest of the teams find some stability soon.

I am so sorry to hear you were caught in this. I know a few people impacted at the Hunt Valley site, and it sounds like the communication from HR has been consistently terrible. Keep a close eye on your personal email and spam folder, as they usually send the digital packets out within 48 hours of the notification. If you don't see it by tomorrow afternoon, reach out to the benefits department directly. For tenured employees, the standard formula usually factors in weeks of pay per year of service, but check your internal handbook if you have a downloaded copy from before access was cut.

It is brutal how they handled this. The atmosphere has been toxic for a while, and even with the rumors circulating, actually getting the email is a different kind of gut punch. I managed to dodge this round, but honestly, the trust is gone at this point. Regarding the severance, don’t sign anything until you have had a chance to really sit with it. They often try to push for a quick turnaround, but you have the right to review the document thoroughly. I’d suggest talking to a local employment lawyer if you have concerns about the specific release terms, especially if you have significant equity or stock options involved.
