Is the Hunt Valley office shutting down entirely?

Seeing the WARN notice for 168 heads in Hunt Valley has me wondering if this is just the first wave of a total exit from that location. Leadership keeps talking about 'synergies' and 'streamlining,' but we all know what that actually translates to. Is there any transparency from management on the long-term plan for the office, or are they just going to trickle out these notices until the building is empty? I’ve been hearing rumors that they are consolidating operations elsewhere and that the 4/1 date is just the beginning of a phased shutdown. If anyone has heard anything from their VPs or managers during the town halls, please share. I’m tired of the vague corporate speak and just want to know if I should be polishing my resume now or if I have a bit more time to breathe. It’s hard to stay productive when you’re constantly looking over your shoulder waiting for the next round of cuts.

The writing is clearly on the wall. When management starts leaning heavily into the 'synergies' buzzword, it’s rarely a sign of expansion or stability. Based on the scale of the WARN notice, this looks like a deliberate phased exit rather than a minor adjustment. If they are already consolidating operations elsewhere, those rumors about the site eventually going dark are almost certainly true. Don’t expect any real transparency; they’ll keep stringing everyone along until the final lease agreement expires or the last few departments are absorbed into the main hub.

It is frustrating how they play these games with people's livelihoods. I wouldn’t hold my breath for a straight answer from leadership, especially when they’ve already signaled their intentions with such a massive cut. Historically, when a company begins 'streamlining' in this specific manner, they have no intention of keeping the satellite office viable long-term. Your best bet is to assume the rumors are accurate and focus on your own exit strategy before the final wave hits. They are clearly looking to centralize everything to cut costs, regardless of the talent lost.
