DLR - What's the vibe on internal transfers/mobility?

Feeling a bit stuck in my current role at Digital Realty and considering looking for something else within the company. However, with the general market uncertainty and the quietness around here, I'm wondering how easy or difficult internal moves are right now. Has anyone successfully transferred teams recently? Or is it tough to get approvals/new positions opening up? I'm trying to be proactive and explore options before things potentially get more serious, but I don't want to rock the boat unnecessarily if the internal market is frozen. Any insights on how internal mobility is trending would be super helpful. Trying to get a sense of the internal job market strength. Thanks.

I've seen a few postings pop up internally over the past few months, but it does seem a bit slower than it used to be. Getting approvals can sometimes be a bit of a process, especially if your current manager isn't fully on board. Have you spoken to your manager about your desire for growth? Sometimes an open conversation can help open doors or at least provide clarity on what opportunities might be realistic.

My experience has been mixed. I did manage to move teams about 6 months ago, but it took a significant amount of networking and persistence. The key seemed to be finding a manager who was actively looking to fill a role and was willing to champion the move. It's definitely not as straightforward as it might have been a year or two ago, but it's not impossible if you're strategic and patient.
