Has anyone else noticed the sudden drop in communication from the top lately? We used to get the standard rah-rah emails about growth and new capacity, but the last few weeks have felt like crickets. I’ve been hearing whispers through the grapevine about some 'streamlining' efforts being discussed at the regional level. Maybe I’m just paranoid because the market is cooling, but the vibe in the office has definitely shifted. Usually, when they go silent, it’s because they’re prepping for something uncomfortable. Anyone in a position to see the budget reports for next quarter? Just trying to figure out if I should keep my LinkedIn profile updated or if I’m reading too much into the lack of company updates.

The regional chatter about 'streamlining' is almost certainly code for a layoff or a massive reorganization. It’s hard to ignore the vibe shift; everyone is walking on eggshells waiting for the other shoe to drop. I wouldn't overthink the lack of emails just yet. Digital Realty is a massive organization and they are likely just navigating the cooling market like everyone else. Sometimes leadership goes silent simply because they are finalizing the next quarterly strategy or dealing with internal data center logistics that don't involve the entire staff. You’re hearing rumors because that’s what happens in offices during slow growth periods. Keep your head down and focus on your projects. If there were actually major cuts coming, you’d know by the drastic changes in project budgets, not just because an inbox is empty.
