What's the vibe in other departments regarding stability?

Alright, real talk. With all the noise out there about potential cuts impacting Discover, I'm curious about what the sentiment is across the board. My immediate team is quiet, but that could mean anything. I'm wondering if there are specific divisions or functions that are feeling the heat more than others. Anyone in risk, IT, marketing, ops, etc., getting different signals? Are performance reviews suddenly more intense, or are projects being shelved without clear reasons? Trying to get a broader picture than just what I'm seeing day-to-day. Honestly, the lack of clear communication is the worst part. Feels like we're all just waiting for a shoe to drop.

Been hearing whispers too. In my corner of ops, it feels like things are status quo for now, but there's definitely an undercurrent of 'wait and see.' Nobody's openly panicking, but the usual chatter about new initiatives has quieted down. We're all just heads down, trying to make sure our current work is solid. It’s hard to gauge if it’s just seasonal lulls or something more. Definitely a bit of an anxious calm, if that makes sense.

In IT, it's a mixed bag. Some teams are slammed with critical projects, almost like nothing has changed. Others seem to be on a tighter leash, with approvals taking longer and less willingness to take on anything outside the core roadmap. Performance conversations have always been detailed here, but there's a subtle shift towards emphasizing efficiency and risk mitigation. It's not outright alarm bells, but it’s definitely prompting a lot of internal assessment across the board.
