Anyone else notice the uptick in 'all-hands' meetings on the calendar?

Is it just me, or has the scheduling lately been incredibly ominous? We’ve had three 'business update' meetings added in the last four days alone, and every time someone asks for an agenda in the Slack channel, the thread gets ghosted by management. I’ve been through two rounds of cuts before, and this feels exactly like the calm before the storm. The last time the calendar looked this crowded with non-specific syncs, we had the reduction in force announcement by Friday afternoon. Trying to keep my head down and get work done is becoming impossible when the office vibe is this tense. Anyone hearing anything from the leadership layer, or are they keeping the directors in the dark too?

I’ve been tracking the same thing. The pattern of these meetings is identical to what we saw right before the last major restructuring. Whenever management starts dodging direct questions about agendas in Slack, you know the writing is on the wall. It’s hard to stay focused on daily deliverables when the corporate calendar feels more like a countdown clock. I’m already backing up my local files and cleaning up my documentation just in case things go south by the end of the week. Stay cautious.

Honestly, try not to spiral until you actually see an invite from HR. Sometimes these 'all-hands' syncs are just leadership trying to push some new initiative or address a bad quarter without the sky falling. That said, the lack of transparency is definitely frustrating and unprofessional. If you’re truly worried, just make sure your resume is updated and you have a pulse on the market, but don't burn yourself out with anxiety over calendar entries that might just be poorly planned corporate fluff.
