It is absolutely wild to watch the disconnect from the top. They talk about 'improving the brand' while the stores are literally drowning in unworked freight and single-person shifts. You can't squeeze blood from a stone, yet corporate keeps tightening the screws expecting higher margins. They treat employees like line items on a spreadsheet that can be deleted without consequence, ignoring the fact that the actual work is physically impossible under these conditions. It's only a matter of time before the whole system collapses under the weight of its own greed.
I remember when this place actually functioned, but those days are long gone. The current strategy seems to be hoping the skeleton crews don't notice the store is burning down around them. Leadership acts like the inventory issues are a 'training problem' instead of a systemic failure caused by understaffing and outdated tech. It is exhausting to put in maximum effort just to be met with more layoffs and excuses. They don't care about the customer or the staff; they just care about hitting the next quarter's numbers at any cost.
