DG - Anyone else feeling the squeeze? Hiring freezes?

Been working at DG for a few years now, and lately, it feels like something's up. My store hasn't been hiring anyone for new positions in months, and they just keep saying 'budget constraints.' We're already stretched thin, constantly asking current staff to pick up extra shifts or cover different roles. Management isn't really giving us a straight answer, just vague corporate speak about 'optimizing operations.' I've heard whispers about some districts having hiring freezes put in place, but nothing concrete. Has anyone else experienced this at their DG location? Are they cutting back on staff indirectly by not replacing people who leave, or is this a sign of something bigger coming down the pipeline? Trying to get a sense of whether this is just my store or a company-wide thing.
