DG - Inventory changes and reduced hours? What's going on?

Okay, so this is weird. At my Dollar General, we've had a ton of new inventory come in, like way more than usual, but at the same time, our hours for the week have been cut significantly. It's like they're expecting us to stock all this new product with fewer people and less time. My SM is acting super stressed and is constantly pushing us to get things done faster, but it's just not realistic. And then I overheard a conversation about 'streamlining stocking processes' which usually means fewer bodies needed. It's not a layoff, not yet anyway, but the way things are going, it feels like they're trying to cut labor costs without actually firing anyone. Anyone else dealing with this kind of push-pull? Feels like a recipe for burnout, and honestly, I'm starting to get a bit worried about job security, even if there's no official word on layoffs.
