Ugh, I feel this so hard. It's like every week the expectations get higher, but the resources stay the same, or even get cut. Trying to juggle stocking, cleaning, *and* giving customers decent service with barely enough people to cover the registers is an impossible feat. The 'efficiency' talk just feels like a cover for expecting us to do the work of two people for the pay of one. Hope things get better soon.
Yeah, it's definitely a struggle. The push for sales is relentless, but when we're so short-staffed, it's a miracle we can even keep the shelves full, let alone push add-ons. I've noticed the same thing with fewer people and more tasks. It's exhausting trying to keep up while also trying to provide a good experience. Management needs to realize that 'optimizing' shouldn't mean burning out the employees.
