Dollar General - Anyone else noticing the increased pressure on metrics?

Hey everyone, been working at DG for a bit now and lately it feels like the pressure to hit certain numbers has gone way up. Sales per hour, shrink, inventory accuracy... it's all on blast every shift. My store manager is constantly bringing it up, and it feels like we're being pushed harder than ever to make these targets. I'm starting to wonder if this is a company-wide thing or just my district. Is anyone else in a similar boat? Worried about what it means if we can't hit these numbers. Feels like a precursor to something, but that could just be my paranoia kicking in. Just looking to see if anyone else is feeling this crunch.

Yeah, I've definitely felt that push at my location too. It's like every time you turn around, there's a new number being thrown around or a new focus on a metric that seems to change weekly. It's exhausting trying to keep up with all of it while still trying to actually help customers and do the day-to-day tasks. I wonder if they expect us to pull miracles out of thin air sometimes, or if they realize how unrealistic some of these targets are when we're already spread so thin. It's definitely a struggle right now.

This sounds incredibly familiar. The constant bombardment about metrics is relentless. It creates a really stressful environment where you feel like you're failing even when you're doing your absolute best. The focus on numbers often seems to overshadow the actual work that needs to be done and the well-being of the employees trying to meet those impossible standards. It's disheartening to see the pressure just keep mounting. Hopefully, things ease up, but I'm not holding my breath.
