Dollar General - Anyone else seeing major shifts? Not layoffs but... something else?

Hey all, posting anonymously because, you know. Been with DG for a few years now at a corporate level (not going to say which department, but it's important). Lately, there's been a lot of buzz about restructuring, but it's not coming across as outright layoffs. More like, people are being moved around, responsibilities are shifting, and there's a general feeling of 'wait and see.' Some projects are being shelved, others are being accelerated with fewer people. Has anyone else in other departments or even store level leadership noticed this kind of subtle but significant change? It feels like they're tightening things up, maybe preparing for something, but it's not the clear 'you're laid off' situation. Just curious if I'm alone in this feeling or if this is a company-wide thing. The uncertainty is definitely adding to the stress.

Yeah, I've definitely felt a shift. Not at corporate, but at the store level, it feels like we're being asked to do more with less, constantly. New initiatives keep popping up, but the resources or staffing aren't there to support them properly. It's making things pretty challenging day-to-day, and you can tell the atmosphere is a bit tense.

I can't speak to corporate directly, but I've heard rumblings from friends who work in other departments. It seems like there's a lot of reshuffling happening, with some teams absorbing tasks from others. It's creating a bit of confusion about who's responsible for what, and honestly, it feels like a preamble to something bigger. Just hoping it doesn't negatively impact store operations too much.
