Hey everyone, I've been with DG for a few years now and things feel… different lately. Been noticing a lot of shifts in how things are run, especially at the district and regional levels. My store manager has been more stressed than usual, and there's been a lot of talk about 'efficiency' and 'streamlining'. It's vague, but it's making people nervous. We had a few hours cut across the board last month, which wasn't huge, but it was the first time in a while. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing similar patterns or hearing anything concrete about what's going on behind the scenes. Feels like something's brewing, and it's not just the usual seasonal rush stress.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed some shifts too, though I'm not quite as long-term with the company. It feels like there's more pressure to hit numbers, and the talk about 'efficiency' seems to translate into doing more with less. My SM is always juggling a million things, and it feels like the support from above isn't quite keeping pace. The hour cuts are definitely a concern, especially when sales aren't exactly booming. Hopefully, it's just a phase and things will stabilize soon.

Interesting you bring this up. I'm hearing similar things from folks in other districts. The 'streamlining' buzzword usually means one of two things: either they've found a truly innovative way to improve things, or they're cutting costs in ways that directly impact the frontline staff. The stress on managers and the reduction in hours definitely point towards the latter. It's making it hard to maintain the level of service we used to. Curious to see how this plays out long-term.
