Okay, I'm usually not one to spread rumors, but the vibes in my DG lately are just…off. We had a regional meeting last week, and the talk was all about 'efficiency' and 'optimizing labor costs.' Sounds like corporate speak for 'we're looking to cut people.' A few assistant managers have been put on notice about 'performance,' which feels a bit arbitrary, honestly. It just feels like a matter of time before we see actual layoffs, not just people quietly leaving or being pushed out. Has anyone else heard similar whispers or seen any actual internal communications that hint at what's happening? Trying to prepare myself and maybe start dusting off the resume.

I've heard similar whispers from my store. It feels like the pressure has been mounting for a while now, with ever-increasing sales goals but fewer staff to meet them. The 'efficiency' talk is definitely concerning, and it seems like a lot of us are feeling that unease. It’s hard to stay motivated when you feel like your job security is constantly in question, especially with the rising cost of everything. Hope it doesn't come to widespread layoffs.

My local Dollar General has definitely changed over the past year. It feels like they're trying to do more with less, which often translates to longer wait times and stressed-out employees. I've noticed fewer stockers on the floor and more shelves looking a bit bare. It's a shame because I like popping in there for quick errands, but if they start cutting staff drastically, I worry about the customer experience and the remaining employees' workload. Fingers crossed it's just a rough patch.
