Dollar General - What's the word on staffing levels?

Been working at DG for a few years now, and lately things feel...different. Like, the usual 'busy' is one thing, but it feels like we're stretched thinner than ever. Seeing a lot of familiar faces leave, and not a lot of new ones coming in to replace them. Is it just my store, or is anyone else noticing a trend of fewer people on the schedule, even during peak times? Feels like management is either trying to squeeze more out of the current staff or bracing for something. Just trying to get a sense if this is a company-wide thing or if I'm just in a rough patch. Anyone else feeling this squeeze?

Yeah, I've definitely seen something similar at my location. It's like the workload has increased exponentially, but the staff count hasn't budged, or worse, it's gone down. Trying to keep up with stocking, customer service, and all the other tasks feels like a constant juggling act, and it's getting exhausting. Makes you wonder if they expect us to become superheroes or if they're just not prioritizing adequate staffing.

Totally get what you're saying. We're constantly running around like crazy, and it feels like the only way to get everything done is to work at a breakneck pace. The turnover is rough too – it's hard to build a cohesive team when people are constantly coming and going. Makes me concerned about burnout for the rest of us who are sticking it out. Hope things improve soon.
