Saw the WARN notice hit for the 24th. Honestly, if you work in the Southern region and haven't started polishing your resume, you're playing with fire. Management keeps talking about 'operational efficiencies' and 'realignment,' but we all know that's corporate speak for cutting headcount to keep the margins looking decent for the next quarterly call. I’ve been hearing whispers about some positions in distribution and support getting axed. It’s draining. Every time I open my email now, I’m half-expecting to see a calendar invite with HR and a ‘business partner’ I’ve never met. For those of you still hanging in there, make sure you save your work and keep your personal files off the company cloud. Does anyone have actual numbers on how many were impacted this time? The notice is vague as usual.

The corporate pivot toward 'operational efficiency' is just the latest excuse to strip the skeleton crew even thinner while expecting the same workload. If you are reading the WARN notices, take them as a final wake-up call to jump ship immediately. They aren't interested in saving the people who actually keep the lights on; they are only focused on making the balance sheet look attractive for shareholders before the quarter ends. Get your resume out there while you still have the title and the current paycheck.

I've been bracing for this since the last earnings call. It is honestly frustrating how they frame these layoffs as some strategic move for the future when we all know the stores are already struggling to keep up with daily operations. Cutting the distribution staff is going to cause a nightmare for the stores that remain, making the workload unbearable for anyone left behind. Honestly, keep your head down if you have to, but start looking for other opportunities now. This company has made it clear where their priorities lie.
