Dollar Tree: Anyone else noticing a shift in management focus?

Hey everyone, been working at Dollar Tree for a couple of years now, and lately, I've been feeling a weird vibe. It's not just about the recent price changes, which are definitely noticeable, but more about how things are being run. Seems like there's a lot more pressure on individual stores to hit these metrics that feel almost impossible. I've seen a few managers looking really stressed, and it's trickling down. Communication from corporate feels pretty minimal, and when it does come, it's usually about some new initiative or a report they want. Makes you wonder what the bigger picture is. Anyone else in a similar boat? Just trying to gauge if this is a widespread thing or if my district is just going through something unique. Curious to hear if others are feeling this shift too.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed a change. It feels like they're pushing for more sales volume per store, which in turn means more pressure on the staff to upsell and keep shelves stocked constantly. It's tough when you're already stretched thin. The 'everything's a dollar' charm is fading, replaced by a real sense of urgency that wasn't there before. Hope things level out soon.

I can totally relate to what you're saying. The stress levels seem to have gone up significantly. It feels like every decision is being scrutinized and every minute has to be productive, which is hard to sustain. The focus on numbers is definitely paramount, and it doesn't always feel like it's coming from a place of support, more like strict demands. Curious to see how this plays out.
