Dollar Tree: Seeing more 'manager discretion' pricing lately?

Hey all, been browsing this forum for a while, mostly lurking. I work at DT and lately, I've been seeing a lot more managers making 'discretionary' pricing decisions on items. Like, a product that's normally $1.25 is suddenly $1.50 or even $2.00, and it's not always tied to a clear reason (like damage or it being a higher-tier item that slipped through). The explanation is usually vague, like 'store adjustment' or 'vendor cost fluctuation.' Feels a bit… arbitrary, and I'm wondering if this is a company-wide thing or just my store getting creative. Anyone else noticing this? Trying to figure out if it's a sign of something bigger or just store-level scrambling.

Yeah, I've noticed that too when I shop there. Sometimes I'll see a price tag that's clearly been altered, or the tag itself seems off. It's a bit frustrating when you're expecting everything to be a dollar or $1.25 and then you get to checkout and it's more. I understand costs change, but it feels like there's less transparency than there used to be. Makes it hard to budget sometimes when you're not sure what things will actually cost.
