Dollar Tree: Staffing levels feeling thin

Is it just me or are staffing levels at Dollar Tree getting ridiculously thin across the board? My store is constantly understaffed, and management keeps saying they're 'looking into it' but nothing changes. We're having to do the job of two people on a daily basis. It's making customer service suffer and is just exhausting for those of us still here. I've heard chatter about stores being consolidated or hours being cut further to 'increase efficiency.' Not sure if this is leading to direct layoffs, but the workload is definitely increasing for fewer people. Anyone else dealing with this kind of pressure cooker environment?

Yeah, I've definitely noticed that too. The store I go to always seems to have only one person on register, and they're scrambling to stock shelves or help people find things. It's a shame because the employees there seem to be working incredibly hard, but they're clearly overwhelmed. You can tell it's tough on them, and it makes the shopping experience a bit chaotic sometimes. Hope they can find a way to hire more people soon.
