50 positions cut - anyone else caught in the Dec 27th wave?

Just saw the filings come through for the late December layoffs. It’s always a classy move to drop the news right before the holidays. For those who were part of the 50 notified, are they giving you until the end of the year, or are you effectively done once you finish the transition work? I’m mostly concerned about the benefits cliff. I’ve seen some folks say the package is decent, but others are claiming they were pushed out with barely anything. If anyone has details on how the transition services are being handled, I’m sure a lot of us would appreciate the transparency. It feels like the company is trying to clean the books before the fiscal year ends. Stay strong, everyone.

I was in the group that got the call on the 27th. They’re keeping us on the payroll through the middle of next month for the transition period, but it feels pretty hollow given the timing. As for the benefits, they are extending coverage through the end of the quarter, which is a bit of a relief, but the severance package is definitely tighter than what they’ve offered in previous rounds. It’s a bitter pill to swallow when you've put in years of service only to be treated like a rounding error on a year-end financial report.

That’s brutal. I’ve been hearing rumblings about more restructuring coming down the pipeline, but catching people right between the holidays is a special kind of cold. If you’re caught in this, make sure you double-check the fine print on your severance agreement regarding the COBRA premiums. Some people are saying the company isn’t covering as much as they promised in the initial meetings. Don’t sign anything until you’ve had a chance to really parse the details, because once that ink is dry, they aren't going to budge on a single cent.
