Yeah, I'm feeling that too. The 'efficiency' talk is definitely a recurring theme in our department meetings. It's hard not to read between the lines when management keeps bringing up cost savings and optimizing resources. The market volatility certainly isn't helping to ease any minds. Hoping for the best, but preparing for potential shifts is probably the smart move right now.
It's understandable why there's anxiety. Performance reviews always add a layer of stress, but combining it with the current economic outlook and the utility sector's performance just amplifies it. The 'streamlining' language is a bit concerning, even if layoffs aren't directly mentioned. Trying to stay focused on my own contributions, but it's difficult to ignore the underlying unease among colleagues. Let's hope it's just business as usual with extra caution.
