Dominion Energy - Performance reviews and future outlook?

Okay, so performance reviews just wrapped up for a lot of us at Dominion. Mine felt... different this year. More focus on quantifiable results and less on overall contribution or teamwork, which I get to a point, but it felt like a scorecard was being prepared for something. Saw some comments on an internal chat about 'right-sizing' teams based on these reviews, though it was quickly shut down by management. Is anyone else getting this impression? It feels like the company is positioning itself for some kind of shake-up, whether it's actual layoffs or just a significant restructuring. The energy market is volatile, I know, but utilities usually feel more stable. Trying to gauge if this is just my perception or if others are feeling the pressure and uncertainty about their roles moving forward. Curious about what the general sentiment is out there regarding job security and the company's direction in the next 6-12 months.

The emphasis on quantifiable metrics over collaboration is definitely a trend I've noticed as well. It makes you wonder if the goal is pure efficiency, or if there's a bigger restructuring on the horizon. The 'right-sizing' talk, even if quickly dismissed, raises a lot of anxieties about job security and how roles are being valued. Hoping it's just a standard performance cycle, but the timing and the intensity of the focus on numbers feels like it could signal something more substantial.

I'm curious about the 'future outlook' part of your post. My team's been working on some new initiatives that seem pretty forward-thinking, especially regarding renewable energy projects. Despite the internal buzz about performance reviews, the external messaging seems positive about growth and investment in greener technologies. Perhaps the internal shifts are just standard operational adjustments to support those larger strategic goals? It's hard to say without more concrete information.
