I totally get where you're coming from. It feels like every shift, we’re being forced to learn a new interface or app integration instead of just focusing on getting orders out the door. The irony is that the customers just want a hot pizza, not a glitchy app experience that adds five extra steps to their checkout. It’s definitely draining to feel like the quality of the food has taken a backseat to hitting some arbitrary tech KPI. Management really needs to step back and look at the actual store operations before forcing another update on us.
Look, it’s not just you. The corporate office is obsessed with being a tech company, but at the end of the day, we are a fast-food chain. When the ovens are failing or the POS is lagging, a shiny new customer dashboard doesn't fix anything. It’s exhausting to deal with the constant pivots while the basics like staffing and equipment maintenance get ignored. Everyone is burned out because the goals are totally detached from what’s happening in the kitchen. We need to stop chasing these tech metrics and start focusing on the actual service we provide.
