Just saw the WARN notice for the PA site. 100 people gone right at the end of the year. I’ve been trying to keep my head down and just focus on shipping, but the mood in the Slack channels is getting heavy. Are we expecting another round of this in Q1? I’ve seen this script play out before—the slow trickle of 'restructuring' that turns into a massive reduction by mid-spring. If you’re in one of the ops or support satellite offices, have you heard anything from your leads, or are they keeping everyone in the dark until the calendar invite hits? I’m genuinely worried that if I don’t start interviewing now, I’m going to be left holding the bag when the next round drops. It feels like the company is just leaning harder into automation and offloading labor costs wherever possible.

It’s honestly gut-wrenching to watch this unfold right before the holidays. I’ve been through these cycles at other tech firms, and it never gets easier. When leadership starts using phrases like 'optimizing operational efficiency,' it’s usually the cue that the cuts are just beginning. If you’re in a satellite office, I’d suggest updating your resume now rather than waiting for the Q1 all-hands meeting. The silence from management is usually a deliberate tactic to keep productivity high while they finalize the next wave of layoffs behind the scenes. Look out for your peers.
