Anyone else feeling the pinch with fewer peak pay opportunities?

It's just me or has peak pay been way less frequent and much lower amounts lately? During the pandemic it felt like there was always a bonus available during busy times, but now it seems like they're really cutting back. The base pay hasn't changed much, but without those peak incentives, my earnings are definitely down. I'm driving more hours to make what I used to make in less time. Feels like they're trying to normalize lower pay, maybe to prepare for something down the line? Or is this just the new normal post-pandemic demand? Curious to hear what others are seeing in their markets.

I've noticed the same thing! It used to be a no-brainer to drive during peak hours, but now I have to really weigh if the small bonus is even worth the extra traffic and hassle. It feels like the good old days of DoorDashing are over. I'm starting to look at other apps more seriously because this just isn't cutting it anymore.

Yeah, the peak pay seems to have dried up. I think it might be because more people are out dashing now, so they don't need to incentivize as much to get drivers on the road. Plus, with the economy the way it is, maybe they're trying to keep costs down across the board. Makes it harder to justify doing this full-time.
