Severance Package Q - what to expect?

Hypothetically speaking, what's the standard severance package at DoorDash these days? I'm a Senior Engineer with 5+ years at the company. Just trying to get a sense of what I might be looking at if, y'know, things go south. Is it weeks per year of service? Continued health insurance? Outplacement services? Any insight would be appreciated.

Heard it's generally 2 weeks per year of service, plus accrued PTO payout. They usually continue health insurance for a bit, maybe a month or two. Outplacement is hit or miss, depends on the department and if they're doing mass layoffs. Definitely start polishing that resume and networking just in case. Good luck!

Don't count your chickens before they hatch! But yeah, knowing is half the battle. Don't assume you'll get anything amazing, companies are tightening belts everywhere. Document everything, performance reviews, emails, everything. It gives you leverage if you need to negotiate. And talk to a lawyer if the offer seems lowball. Better safe than sorry.
