Severance package question - what to expect?

Hypothetically speaking, if there *were* layoffs at DoorDash, what kind of severance package would people expect? I'm trying to get a sense of what's standard here. I'm a Senior Data Scientist, and have been here for 2.5 years. Trying to get an understanding of what a reasonable offer would be, if the worst happens. Like, weeks per year of service? Benefits continuation? Any insight is appreciated.

Based on what I've seen elsewhere (not necessarily DoorDash specifically), 2-4 weeks per year of service seems pretty standard for tech. Definitely negotiate if they offer less. Beyond that, look for continued health insurance for at least a few months, and potentially outplacement services to help with the job search. Good luck, hoping it doesn't come to that!

Honestly, don't expect too much. Companies are tightening their belts, and severance packages aren't getting *more* generous. 2 weeks per year is probably the best you can hope for. Start updating your resume and networking *now*. A strong offense is the best defense in this situation. Don't bank on severance; bank on finding a new job quickly.
