Dover: Increased workload and fewer resources?

Hey everyone, been at Dover for a few years now and lately things have felt… different. My team is swamped, projects are piling up, and it feels like we're being asked to do more with less. I'm seeing less cross-team collaboration and more individual 'firefighting.' It's not just my department either; I've overheard similar sentiments from folks in other divisions during informal chats. Anyone else feeling this squeeze? Wondering if this is a sign of something bigger or just a rough patch we're navigating. Trying not to jump to conclusions, but the atmosphere has definitely shifted from what it used to be. Any insights or similar experiences would be appreciated.

I can definitely relate to what you're describing. It feels like the goalposts keep moving, and the support structures that used to be in place just aren't there anymore. That sense of 'doing more with less' is palpable, and it's definitely impacting morale and efficiency. The lack of cross-team synergy is particularly concerning; it used to be a strong point here. Hopefully, this is just a temporary phase and things will improve soon.

Yeah, the 'firefighting' is becoming the norm, isn't it? It's exhausting trying to keep everything afloat when you feel like you're constantly short-handed.
